It’s no secret that I love plants! And while I am no expert, I’m very much a beginner myself in a lot of ways, I’m here today to share the top 5 plants I think are best for beginners!
Let’s waste no time!
Number 1: Snake plant or Sansevieria
This plant is SO easy to care for! It prefers less water, about once a month but I’ll be honest and say I’ve gone longer then that and it’s still alive!
They can live anywhere from high to low light, but remember that the less sun it has the less growth you will see. But it will survive.
Number 2: Heartleaf Philodendron
This baby is a great one if you want one that vines! They grow long and beautiful heart shaped leaves!
They prefer to have their soil dry out between waterings, they will let you know by getting dropping or limp looking.
Can live in low light or up to bright in direct light.
Number 3: Pothos
Honestly pothos are probably my favorite type of plants! I have a lovely collection of them because they come in SO MANY difference types. This one pictured is a golden pothos, but some others are manjula, marble queen, n’joy, pearls and jade, and so many more! How could you NOT want to collect them?!
They also prefer to dry out between waterings, and will let you know when they are thirsty by getting droopy and limp.
They can live in lower light, or up to bright indirect light.
Number 4: Dumb Cane or Dieffenbachia
A beautiful plant that can get pretty tall. Their stocks almost look like bamboo. I also love their color variations on their leaves! So beautiful!
These guys like to dry out between waterings, and if you go too long will droop over and look sad.
They can live in lower light, or up to bright indirect light.
Number 5: ZZ Plant
This one is a little baby compared to its Mama plant, but these guys thrive on neglect!
They store water in their bulbs under the soil, so they can go up to a month (if not a little longer) without being watered.
They can survive in lower light, but give it bright direct light and it will grow huge!
And that’s all for now! I hope you get out and get yourself one of these easy to care for plants and bring some more life into your life!
Thank you. I love the info I got
